Workshop on ‘Developing Gandhiji-Inspired ACTIZEN Leadership – Swa to Sarv… From Within to the World’

Ms. Rajni Bakshi

Desh Apnayen’s mission is to create ACTIZENS – alert, informed and active citizens. Gandhi Jayanti is around the corner. It is even more special for us at Desh Apnayen because Gandhiji represents the ACTIZEN spirit like no other.

To celebrate his life and his creation of millions of ACTIZENS around the world, and to benefit from his timeless teachings, we are organising a workshop for school principals and teachers from across India, facilitated by Ms. Rajni Bakshi.

There is no cost to attend the workshop. Seats are limited. Please register at http://bit.ly/DeshApnayenWorkshop

The workshop will be held on an online platform on Thursday, 8th October from 3 pm till 6 pm. The log-in details will be shared with the confirmed participants by email.

About the Workshop:

We will explore how Gandhiji defined swaraj as a journey to be self aware, find strength within, cleansing within and projecting it outside with love and a sense of service. To him, this was both Purushaarth of Dharma Shastra as well as a way of working for social justice and freedom from ‘foreign’ rule – British or Non Dharma forces, within or without.

This approach remains as relevant today as it will be for ever.

The workshop will orient the participant to explore this approach, and showcase how Gandhiji built upon the traditional wisdom or Dharma as a universal code of ethics, which is the basis of achieving everything else in this world. It will explore this approach with a sharp contemporary focus.

We will focus on questions such as:

Do you get paralysed by moral dilemmas in decision making? Would you like to learn how to solve them?

Do you get daunted by the seeming long term and uncertain path of Values or Gandhi Philosophy? Have you wondered how the reality is different? Or how to make it ‘win win’ both for the short term and the longer term?

Are you able to differentiate between power ‘over’ other people and power ‘with’ others?

Is Ahimsa both the path and destination?
