Creating alert, informed and active citizens

#WednesdayWisdom Our guest author on the Desh Apn #WednesdayWisdom

Our guest author on the Desh Apnayen blog this month, Mr. Sridhar Rajagopalan, explains why we need more people to take up the long, patient work of building a better society.

He adds, “Think about the decades-long struggles to reform how women, lower-caste communities, and other marginalised groups were treated. These transformations, which today may seem self-evident, began with a minority of one.”

#mondaymotivation “The programme’s hands-on #mondaymotivation

“The programme’s hands-on approach encourages students to develop unique solutions to contemporary social issues, making them more sensitive and proactive about creating positive change,” shared Dr. Preeti K. Doddwad, Co-ordinator, Karnatak Lingayat Education (KLE) Society when we sought feedback about the ACTiZENS’ Club programme, our flagship programme which is offered at no cost to schools in several states of India.

We are grateful to committed educators like Dr. Doddwad who continue to help us shape Alert, Informed, and Active Citizens.
